Sandbox Wonders 14

I mentioned I wanted to go past 100 so I could replace some earlier entries I thought weaker, so here we go:

101. Waterfall Tree - A huge tree with water cascading from its crown.  Drinking this water sharpens the mind (2x experience for a session).
102. Stunted Forest - An ancient forest of twisted and stunted trees, few as tall as a person.  Burning the wood properly in an athanor refills items with magical power.
103. Fainting Forest - A vast aspen grove with trees that fall away from living things walking close.  Each morning the trees raise themselves again.  Their wood is the best for making detection wands.
104. World Trees - Huge trees, hundreds of feet across and tall enough to disappear into the clouds.  Their bases partially hollowed away by fire and ancient carvings, a person sleeping inside one will wake in another time.
105. Mica Fields - The flat earth glitters golden for as far as the eye can see.  Sheets of this mineral can be pried up to make windows ghosts cannot pass through.

Silhouettes LXIV

I'm working on some other stuff, but have a few more silhouettes in the mean time. These are public domain, use them as you wish.

A warrior of the Ababdeh tribe:

High Priest of the Waganda (I think):

A beefeater. I had to trim off his collar so his head didn't look like a huge lump, I think he would work well as a city guard:

And a monkey:

These have all been added to the zip file linked in the sidebar to the right.

Public Domain Borders, Letters, etc.

Some of these files I use all the time to throw together proofs of concept for the blog, some of the files I've used only once for an in-game prop, other files I just started gathering thinking you mind find them useful.

I like using borders on player handouts to set them apart from other paperwork laying about; it marks them as a part of my fantasy adventure game.  And the ones I use are me trying to get a gritty feel that a computer generated shape doesn't give you, without having to draw and scan everything myself. Anyway, there are more than these shown here in the zip file, and I'll add more as I find them.

OSR Cover Models

I found some images in mountaineering books that I thought you might find interesting.  The clothes and expressions are goofy, but the positions are precarious.  These guys aren't taking on a dragon by themselves, heck, I imagine some of them won't make it to the dungeon entrance.

Dungeon Entrances Compilation

Public domain images to represent the outside of your dungeon.  Many of these have appeared on my blog before but I wanted to compile them all to make it easier for you to use them and for me to add to the collection.

I always try to work with lossless art files because I hate the idea of losing detail to compression.  Unfortunately that leads to bigger files.  Unfortunate, because I also want to make these useful and accessible and downloading a huge file is a hurdle.  But these dungeon entrances seem the kind of image you might want more detail than even for an NPC portrait, so I just did my best to keep all of the 46 files under 1 MB.

You can find the link to the compilation here and on my new Public Domain Art Page.
